Background

The main objective of the conference is to promote discussion on the application of theory, models, and instruments of Islamic finance and law to gain Economic Recovery Post Pandemic. This conference is also parallel with call for paper event to gather high quality of papers and is expected to become references by the academician as well as policy makers.

ICIEIFIL is sponsored by Department of Islamic Economic Law, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. aims to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers, and scholar students to exchange and share their experience, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of Islamic Economics, Islamic Finance, & Islamic Law, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. All full paper submissions will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. All honorable authors are kindly encouraged to contribute to and help shape the conference through submissions of their research abstracts and. Also, high quality research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of Islamic Economics, Islamic Finance, & Islamic Law are cordially invited for presentation at the conference. The conference solicits contributions of abstracts and papers that address themes and topics of the conference, including figures, tables and references of novel research materials.

Invited Speakers

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ziyaad Mahomed ( Associate Dean/Director, Executive Education & E-learning INCEIF Malaysia)

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ziyaad Mahomed is an Associate Dean/Director for INCEIF’s Executive Education & E-Learning. He is also the Chairman of the Shariah Board of HSBC Amanah Malaysia and serves on a number of Shariah boards internationally. He is a multi-award-winning Scholar with almost 20 years of global experience as an executive, consultant and Islamic Scholar in Islamic finance and capital markets. Dr Ziyaad has consulted/trained more than 7,000 Finance Professionals and Islamic Scholars in most disciplines within the Islamic Finance sector in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. He intends to focus on Islamic social finance, Shariah issues & innovation, fintech and Sukuk, amongst other research areas.

Assoc. Prof. Irfan Syauqi Beik, Ph.D- IPB University

Irfan Syauqi Beik is an Associate Professor at the Department of Islamic Economics, IPB University, Indonesia. Since January 2021, Irfan serves as a Commissioner at the Indonesia
Waqf Board (BWI) based on the Presidential Decree No 3/M Year 2021. Prior to this appointment, Irfan was the Director of Center of Strategic Studies (Puskas) and Director of Distribution and Utilization of Zakat at the National Zakat Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BAZNAS) 2016-2020.

In addition, Irfan also serves as member of the National Shariah Board of Indonesia Council of Ulama (DSN MUI), member of Shariah Supervisory Board in several Islamic financial  institutions, Independent Commissioner of PT Prudential Shariah Life Assurance (Prudential Syariah Indonesia), and Vice Chairman VI of the Indonesian Association of Islamic Economist (IAEI). He is also an Executive Secretary of the World Zakat and Waqf Forum and an Executive Council member of the International Association for Islamic Economics (IAIE). Irfan has been awarded Bank Indonesia Award 2021 for the category of The Best Islamic Socioeconomic Figure 2021.

 

Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Sholahuddin, S.E, M.Si., Ph.D.- Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta

Muhammad Sholahudin is an Associate Professor in Islamic Business, Management and Financial coaching Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. His interest in Islamic economics began in 1999. This makes the author choose to continue his studies in the field of Islamic economics and finance at the University of Indonesia (UI). Became a lecturer after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in management economics from Sebelas Maret State University, Surakarta (UNS, 1998), the author teaches at the Faculty of Economics, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. After being entrusted with the position of head of the management laboratory and secretary of the Double Degree (international class) management study program, the author was given the opportunity to continue his Doctor of Philosophy studies in Economics at the International Islamic University of Malaysia which he completed in 2020 with a dissertation on Conventional and Islamic Business Coaching and its impact on Performance of Small Business. Doctor Sholah has expertise in Islamic Economics, business and finance.
